Antes de visitar, pida certificados GMP y SQF con identificador y fechas, la razón social de fabricación en factura, el número FDA si vende en EE. UU., un COA de muestra y un plazo de muestreo por escrito. Si no envían esos PDF, no está lista para su marca.

If you sell into retail or a regulated import channel, the document pack is the thing that gets you onboarded, not the lunch. Run this list before anyone on your team flies to Jiangsu.
We publish the same files we send to buyers on the quality and company page. If a supplier will not match that level of evidence, keep looking.
The five files to request in the first email
Ask for PDFs, not screenshots. Screenshots hide expiry dates.
- GMP certificate with identifier, audit date and validity. Ours is Eurofins GMP audit recognition, identifier ACCB8AAA422_1, valid through 14 June 2027.
- SQF certificate for pet food manufacturing (GFSI-recognised), not a generic "ISO-style" poster. Ours is SQF Food Safety Code: Pet Food Manufacturing, Edition 9, SIN 105690.
- Legal name that will appear on the commercial invoice and packing list. Production here is Taizhou Beno Biotech Co., Ltd., Taixing, Jiangsu. If the WeChat name and the invoice name do not match, stop.
- FDA facility registration number if the US is in your plan. Ours is 10222600768. D-U-N-S 404129816 is the other identifier buyers use to confirm the entity.
- A sample COA from a recent batch of a similar format, plus a written sampling lead time (we quote 7–15 days for stock formulas).
If those five arrive complete, a visit is optional. If they arrive incomplete, a visit will not fix it.
What a video is for
A 30-second corridor clip is not evidence. You want to see gowning, a line, and packing with the same plant identity as the certificates.
We put a factory walk-through and shop-floor clips on the homepage. Watch those before you ask for a live tour. If you still want to visit, say so in the brief; we will tell you which day the line you care about is running.
Red flags that waste a quarter
- MOQ described only as "negotiable" with no format attached
- Certificates issued to a different city or a trading company
- No factory address you can drop into a map (ours is Li Kong Group 3, Donglin Village, Yaowang Street, Taixing 225400)
- Sample "in 3 days" with no formula selected
- Pressure to pay a tooling deposit before you have seen a COA
None of that means the person is lying. It means you cannot put them in front of your quality team yet.
After the files: one sample, then a quote
Do not brief five factories with a vague "joint chew, private label." Send the same short brief to two plants that passed the file check: species, benefit, format, destination market, volume band. Compare sample, COA layout, and whether the quote names Incoterm and MOQ.
When you are ready, use the quotation form. Attach the market and the format. We will tell you if it is a stock SKU at 500 units or an ODM track.

- How do I know I am talking to the factory and not a trader?
- Match the certificate legal name to the invoice entity and to a physical plant address. Ask for a line video that matches that site. Taizhou Beno Biotech Co., Ltd. in Taixing, Jiangsu is the manufacturer behind Beno production.
- Is a factory audit still needed if certificates check out?
- Retailers and some importers still want an on-site or third-party audit. Certificates get you to that conversation. They do not replace it for every channel. Start with files so you only audit plants that can already produce your format.
