Suplementos para mascotas en Amazon: especificaciones FBA que aguantan el listing

Amazon is not a product category. It is a set of listing rules, inbound rules and a returns rate that will eat a thin margin if the SKU was specified for a trade-show booth.

I write this from Shenzhen Enbeichong. Most first Amazon briefs we see are a joint chew or a daily multi with a brand name and a wish to "start FBA". That can work. The 500-unit stock path in private label from 500 exists for that test. What does not work is treating Amazon like a warehouse that will forgive a title that reads as a drug.

What "Amazon private label" means in the factory

You still buy a catalogue formula or an ODM recipe. You still own the brand and the pack. Amazon is the channel you named in the brief, next to species and market. It changes three things: the claims we will print, the pack photo, and how many units you should actually land in the first inbound.

It does not change GMP. It does not turn a 500-unit chew into a custom exclusive formula. If you need the model split, use OEM vs ODM vs private label.

US animal products that claim to treat or prevent disease are a drug conversation at FDA's Center for Veterinary Medicine. Amazon will suppress the listing later if the carton did not. Start here: FDA animal food. AAFCO model labelling is what many US states still use for pet food and treat-like packs: aafco.org.

Titles and bullets that get the ASIN pulled

Do not write "treats arthritis", "cures UTI", "replaces a vet visit", "FDA approved chew". We will not print those. Amazon's catalogue team does not need a factory tour to match the words to a restricted-product policy.

Write the benefit as daily support: mobility, gut, coat, calm, multi. Put the species in the title. Put the count. Leave the disease word off the image text as well. Reviewers will photograph the back panel.

If the formula is a calming chew, hemp seed oil is not CBD. If you need cannabinoids, that is a different legal file and we will not pretend otherwise on a listing.

500 units is a test inbound, not a year of FBA

A stock chew here can start at 500 units. Samples typically 7 to 15 days. First branded run 8 to 14 weeks if artwork behaves. That first 500 is enough to learn conversion and return reasons. It is not enough to cover a Prime Day spike plus a restock delay on the ocean.

Plan the second PO before the first carton hits the FC. Ocean plus inbound appointment is not a West Coast 3PL. If you need the cost logic behind the first PO, read what OEM actually costs.

We do not default to DDP into an Amazon fulfilment centre. Importer of record, product tax, and FBA labelling (FNSKU vs the factory barcode) belong in the brief. If those three are blank, the quote is a factory-gate number, not a landed FBA number.

What we put in the export pack

Batch COA, packing list, commercial invoice in the manufacturing name. Country of origin on the carton. That is the file set a brand registry or a compliance request can actually use. How to read the COA is a separate page: how to read a pet supplement COA.

Carton marks: SKU, count, batch, made-in line. Do not ask us to print "Amazon" on the outer as if that were a shipping term.

SKUs that photograph and reorder

Amazon shoppers buy a picture of a chew more often than a picture of a powder. Hip and joint chews, probiotic chews and 10-in-1 are the usual first ASINs because the category already has search. A powder can win on subscription if the listing is honest about mixing.

Put channel as Amazon / FBA, destination United States (or the store country), species and the SKU name on the inquiry form. If the title still has a disease verb, we will send it back before we quote.

Preguntas frecuentes

Can I launch a pet supplement on Amazon with 500 units?
Yes as a test inbound on a stock chew, not as a year of FBA inventory. Plan the second PO before the first carton hits the fulfilment centre. Ocean plus inbound is not a domestic 3PL restock.
Will you print FDA approved or treats arthritis on my Amazon title?
No. Animal products that claim to treat disease are a drug conversation at FDA CVM, and Amazon will suppress the listing. Daily support wording only.
Do you ship DDP into Amazon FBA by default?
No. Importer of record, tax and FNSKU vs factory barcode belong in the brief. If those are blank, the quote is a factory-gate number, not a landed FBA number.
What wording should an Amazon pet supplement title use?
Write the benefit as daily support: mobility, gut, coat, calm or multi. Put the species in the title and put the count. Leave the disease word off the image text as well, because reviewers photograph the back panel. Treats arthritis, cures UTI and FDA approved chew are the ones we refuse.
What documents come with an FBA-bound pet supplement shipment?
Batch COA, packing list and commercial invoice in the manufacturing name, with country of origin on the carton. That is the file set a brand registry or a compliance request can actually use. Carton marks carry the SKU, count, batch and made-in line.
Which pet supplement SKUs work best as a first Amazon ASIN?
Amazon shoppers buy a picture of a chew more often than a picture of a powder. Hip and joint chews, probiotic chews and 10-in-1 multivitamin chews are the usual first ASINs because the category already has search volume. A powder can win on subscription if the listing is honest about mixing.
