Cat urinary supplement private label: drops, not a cystitis carton

Urinary is the category cat owners buy after a fright. That is why it repeats. It is also why factories get briefs that want the carton to say cystitis, crystals or "UTI treatment". We will not print that.

I write this from Shenzhen Enbeichong. The stock path is cat urinary support drops. There is also pet urinary support tablets if the channel is a dog-and-cat tablet line. This page is the cat brief: carrier, taste, claims, and why a dropper beats a pill.

Who actually buys this

Indoor, neutered, overweight cats. Multi-cat flats. Clinic-adjacent retail after a blocked-cat scare. The shopper is not browsing "wellness". They want a daily add-in they can keep using after the vet visit.

Drops win because owners cannot pill a cat. Liquid on wet food still happens. A tablet SKU is a different photo and a different failure mode. If your brand is cat-only, start with the dropper. If you already run dog tablets, do not assume the same punch lives in a cat dropper.

This sits next to a hydration story (fountain, wet food) without pretending to be either.

Two factory limits you cannot brief away

Propylene glycol is not permitted in cat food in the United States. The carrier is glycerin or water. An aqueous dropper then needs a preservative system and a stated in-use period after opening. If the brief says "PG is fine, cheaper", the US listing is already wrong. FDA CVM is the reference, not a WhatsApp rumour: animal food.

Cranberry is tart. Cats refuse sour. A hydrolysed protein flavour is usually what gets the bottle accepted. "Natural cranberry, no flavour" is how you get a 40% return rate and a one-star photo of a full bottle. We would rather argue about the flavour system in week one than reprint labels in week twelve.

Keep copy on urinary and hydration support. Never on cystitis, struvite, crystals, or treating a blockage. Those are veterinary diagnoses. AAFCO labelling is about an honest feeding table and an ingredient list, not a clinic chart: aafco.org.

Catalogue vs a custom urinary stack

The dropper SKU is a private-label path. Stock formula, your brand, your pack. The catalogue MOQ on this item is 3,000 units, not the 500-unit chew number. Samples 7 to 15 days. First branded project still 8 to 14 weeks when artwork does not invent a disease claim.

ODM is for a named active, a different carrier, or a market rule the catalogue cannot hit. It is not for "exclusive UTI formula" on a first PO. See private label vs custom formula.

If the rest of the cat line is hairball and lysine, keep urinary as its own SKU. Do not fold cranberry into a hairball paste and hope the search term still ranks. Hairball is a different article: cat hairball private label.
