Cat hairball private label: paste, chew or drops, not three Photoshop files

Quick answer

Hairball products help hair move; they do not dissolve fur. Paste is the familiar first SKU. Chews need a small semi-moist piece and a real cat trial. Drops go on food. At Beno, chews and drops quote 3000 units; paste quotes 1000. Do not launch three formats on one budget.

Cat hairball private label: paste, chew or drops, not three Photoshop files

Owners of long-haired cats already know the malt tube. Search for hairball never really stops. A brand that only copies that tube is in a price fight. A brand that picks paste, chew or drops on purpose can own a listing photo.

Beno's cat hairball line is three filling jobs: control chews, relief drops, paste. That is a line. It is not one formula with three Photoshop files.

How these products actually work, without magic

Swallowed hair that does not move well is the owner complaint. Commercial products usually lean on one or more of: a lubricant, dietary fibre, or a broader digestive story (enzymes, prebiotics). They do not "dissolve" fur. If your Amazon bullets say dissolve, rewrite them before we print a carton.

Paste is what cat owners already recognise. It is the safest first SKU if you need the category to look familiar on a shelf.

Chew is how you step away from the tube. Cats judge texture before taste. Our chew is small and semi-moist. A dense dog piece gets left in the bowl. Fibre (often psyllium or cellulose) is the functional load. Push it too high and you lose acceptance and mess with stool. Water activity has to stay in a mould-safe band.

Drops go on food. Good when the cat will not take a treat. The bottle and dropper are the quote, not an afterthought.

Palatability is the whole product

Budget a cat trial, not an office-dog tasting. Liver, fish or poultry notes are the usual briefs. A firm chew is a return. Ask for a sample and leave it with an actual cat for two days.

MOQ is not one number for "cat." Hairball chews and drops on our list quote 3000 units. Paste quotes 1000. That is not the 500-unit floor of the white-bottle dog chews. Mixing those floors is how people argue with invoices. The PDF wins.

Claims

"Supports hair passage." "Digestive comfort during grooming." Not a cure, not a treatment for obstruction. Disease language will stop artwork. The US fork is still FDA CVM: animal food. China and the UK treat functional pet nutrition as feed, not medicine. That longer comparison is China and UK feed claims.

Do not launch paste plus chew plus drops on one 3000-unit budget. Pick the photo you can shoot. Add the second format when the first reorders.

Inquiry with cat in the species field. The wider feline line is cat supplement OEM.

Frequently asked questions

Which format should I launch first?
Paste if you need the category to look familiar. Chew if you want to step away from the malt tube. Drops if the cat will not take a treat. Pick one photo you can shoot. Add the second format when the first reorders.
Can I claim the product dissolves hairballs?
No. Rewrite Amazon bullets before artwork. Use hair passage or digestive comfort during grooming. Disease or obstruction language stops the carton.
Is the MOQ the same as dog chews?
No. Hairball chews and drops on our list quote 3000 units. Paste quotes 1000. That is not the 500-unit floor of the white-bottle dog chews. The quotation wins.
How do cat hairball products actually work?
Commercial products usually lean on a lubricant, dietary fibre, or a broader digestive story built on enzymes and prebiotics. They help swallowed hair move. They do not dissolve fur, so if your Amazon bullets say dissolve, rewrite them before we print a carton.
How should I test palatability on a cat hairball chew?
Budget a cat trial, not an office-dog tasting. Cats judge texture before taste, so the piece has to be small and semi-moist; a dense dog piece gets left in the bowl. Ask for a sample and leave it with an actual cat for two days. A firm chew is a return.
How much fibre can a cat hairball chew carry?
Fibre, often psyllium or cellulose, is the functional load in the chew. Push it too high and you lose acceptance and mess with stool. Water activity also has to stay in a mould-safe band, so the fibre level is a formulation limit rather than a free marketing bullet.
